Why should spring thimble be tinned
The role of spring thimble tin plating:
1. Tin-plated contacts are mechanically stable in the engaged state
2. The normal contact force of the tin-plated contact piece needs at least 100 grams.
3. The tin-plated contacts need to be lubricated.
4. Tin plating is not recommended for use in high temperature environments.
5. The choice of coating, soft melt, hot air flow or hot dip tin coating, will have an unstable effect on the electrical properties of tin or tin alloy contacts.
6. Tin plating is at least 2.54 microns or more.
7. The tin-plated contact piece does not mesh well with the gold-plated contact piece.
8. Sn-plated contacts are recommended for sliding or friction during the engagement of the contacts.
9. Tin-plated contacts are not used to make or break current.
10. Tin-plated contacts can be used in dry circuit or low-level state.
